Job Title: Warehouse I
Location: TVEPA
Reports To: CFO
Job Purpose: Accurately and efficiently receive material ordered to support the Cooperative and distribute materials from inventory accurately to Operations for work orders issued. Strive to maintain accurate records for inventory reconciliation while supporting the organization in all aspects of warehouse operations, emergency storm support, and facility grounds maintenance as assigned.
Primary Duties:
- Learn all electric and fiber inventory items, warehouse operations, required processes, and computer system transactions (UPN) to support operations.
- Gather and distribute material daily for work orders/jobs accurately and timely, recording all material issued.
- Load and unload trucks, enter receipts for delivered material daily, verify packing lists against purchase orders, and promptly report shortages or discrepancies to purchasing and accounting.
- Safely operate moving equipment, including forklifts, fork jacks, electric hoists, and dollies, to transport and store materials properly.
- Organize, account for, and properly record salvage material daily, collaborating with Operations to optimize reusable materials.
- Perform monthly inventory cycle counts and assist with the annual physical inventory count across primary and remote sites.
- Maintain warehouse grounds and yards (site yard, pole yard, and transformer yard) clean and clear of hazards, including general outside housekeeping and mowing.
- Fuel line trucks with diesel daily as assigned and monitor bulk tank fuel levels weekly.
- Coordinate and deliver materials and supplies to remote cooperative sites during routine operations and emergency situations.
- Provide emergency storm support and assist with building maintenance and daily mail transfers.

Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Experience in recording inventory transactions and/or material handling preferred.
- Skills & Knowledge: Ability to learn and identify electric distribution and fiber construction tools, apparatus, and materials. Basic computer proficiency (inventory systems, data entry, calculators) and ability to calculate wire footage, gauges, and fiber reel measurements. Ability to learn to read electric and fiber staking sheets.
- Licensing: Must possess and maintain a valid Mississippi driver’s license and/or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Physical Requirements: Must regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs., frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift/move over 100 lbs. Must be comfortable standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and operating material-handling machinery.
- Pre-Employment: Post-offer physical, including alcohol and drug screening, required.
Work Environment: Active warehouse, yard, and outdoor utility environment. Requires strict adherence to Cooperative, OSHA, and regulatory safety standards, including wearing required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, leather gloves) and keeping work areas safe and free of hazards.
