The Tennessee Valley Authority and Tallahatchie Valley Electric Power Association have scheduled a planned power outage that will impact the northwestern portion of the co-op’s service area.
The outage is scheduled to begin Friday night, August 24th at ten o’clock and will last for up to eight hours. All members served by TVEPA’s Blue Goose substation in western Tate County will be without power during this time. Some of the communities and areas included in this outage are Arkabutla, Sarah, and Strayhorn in western Tate County. The outage will also affect some members in northwestern Panola County along Tate Panola Road, Burford Road, Sees Chapel Road, Longtown Road, Turner Road, and Pleasant Grove Road.
The outage is necessary to connect a new electric substation in the Longtown area. Tallahatchie Valley EPA apologizes in advance for any inconvenience and thanks you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve and maintain reliable power service.
